DOUBLE
MURDER IN ST. CLAIR RATTLES NEIGHBORHOOD:
08/27/2002
04:15hrs
in the morning units from SCVMA, Pottsville ALS and St. Clair
Police were dispatched to the area of the 300 block of Cherry
Street in the Arnot's Addition section of St. Clair for a
reported shooting.
Since
the case is under investigation we really can't mention much
about it here, however what we do know is that two people are
dead, another was wounded and flown to a trauma center by SCVMA

What
happen next turned St. Clair upside down. After about an
hour of sitting on scene the gunman returned and was spotted by
Police. The gunman started shooting at both Police and
Ambulance units on scene. Police started a foot chase
which went through borough streets and yards until the suspect
was finally shot down by Police. Care was given by SCVMA
units and Pottsville ALS units and suspect was flown to Lehigh
Valley Medical Center.
Police
Departments from all over Schuylkill County aided in the search
of the suspect and also with the investigation along with State
Troopers from all over the region. SCVMA was on scene with
(2) BLS units, (1) Rehab/MCI unit and Pottsville ALS responded.
Arnot's Addition was closed to traffic as Police went through
the 19 different crime scenes.
No
